Social Media Strategy and Implementation

Defining the Needs

Edify Church was a great church with a lot of young members. It had massive potential to grow rapidly, however because of the heavy workload, and lack of a social media team, the head Pastor struggled with consistently posting everyday to put the church in the eyes of the public. He also didn’t know what to post somedays.

Luckily he already had a very consistent brand design, it just need to be implemented with a better strategy. We decided to create a posting schedule and assign roles.

Aside from socials, they also needed an updated pastoral photoshoot for their events and flyers.

Below is a deck I presented to the clients to communicate what I could offer (strategy, photography, editing). I made a mood board of photos that nearby churches were posting that I would be able to recreate for Edify. I also shared a weekly posting schedule with assignments that the church leadership could follow long term.

My job was to capture pictures every Sunday and upload them to the Instagram as a “Service Recap” post. Here’s some of the work:
