THE GOAL(S)
As I began to relaunch my ministry after a sabbatical, I knew that I would need to fix a few things. My brand design was inconsistent with colors and logos, and my feed was all over the place. The content was of good quality, but overall, everything needed to be more “eye-catching” from a marketing perspective. I also would need more help.
The goal was to simplify and modernize the brand, while keeping up with “earthy” aesthetics to emphasize the ministry’s approach towards holistic health.
Additionally, I was transitioning from a podcast to a full blown ministry that offered more resources. I needed to make room for the new, as well as for additional expansion in the future.

WE WOULD NEED:
A website
A team of volunteers
A new logo
A new podcast cover
A new YouTube intro/outro
A content schedule
Reusable graphics/ templates
MY ROLE(S)
Web designer
Hiring Manager
Graphic designer
Video editor
Copywriter
Social Media Strategist

THE WEBSITE
Part of the relaunch included
launching products
offering articles
hosting events
hiring a team of volunteers
and more
With this in mind, creating a brand new website that would be the central place for The JRNE was most ideal.
To design the website, I used Squarespace.
HIRING THE TEAM
The JRNE has always been a family to me. I couldn’t find a relatable community to join myself, so I made one. I grew relationships with so many virtual friends and supporters and I knew if I reached out to my followers someone would want to help.
I thought back to my time as a student interviewer when I was an Events Assistant in college and knew exactly what to do.
Turns out, many people wanted to help and we are now a lovely team of 4. Here’s how I did it:
LOGO REDESIGN
The old logos.
The first redesign: AKA the “germ” lol.
As soon as my new volunteer who specializes in graphics told me that the logo looked like a “germ”, I knew I needed to take a new approach.
We live, we learn.
The new logo.
PODCAST COVER REDESIGN
The old covers.
Letting go of this podcast cover was bittersweet. However, I wanted to shift the focus off of myself as the host, and more onto the ministry’s brand and mission.
The new cover.
YOUTUBE INTRO/OUTRO REDESIGN
Old intro.
Other old intro.
New intro/outro.
CONTENT SCHEDULE
Before our graphic designer and I jumped into making the new graphic designs, I met with the team to discuss The JRNE’s goals.
The following is a deck I showed my team to share the content schedule and a mood board that the GD and I would follow when we began making the new reusable graphics.
